2023 college football: Four teams best equipped to take on Georgia

The last thing we remember about last season is how No. 1 Georgia beat No. 3 TCU in the national championship game by a score of 65-7. It was a loud, relentless, put your ugliest adjective here beatdown. It was the biggest win in the history of major college football bowl games.

In 2022, the Bulldogs went 15-0. They start the season with four home games in a row. And they’re getting back on track with the second-best class of new recruits, behind only Alabama.

One SEC head coach said, “When they’re as talented and well-coached as they are, sometimes they’d have to beat themselves to lose to some of us.”

If the Bulldogs want to win the East again, they have to win on Nov. 18 at Tennessee. And if they want to win the SEC again, they’ll probably have to play either Alabama or LSU in the conference championship game. Georgia beat LSU 50–30 to win the SEC championship last year.

LSU coach Brian Kelly said, “We scored enough points, but we couldn’t match up physically yet.” “If you look at the other teams, it’s clear that Ohio State had enough of that to take them to the very end.

The teams are working towards the model that Kirby has made. And he saw Nick Saban do it, making a big change to score more points and be more productive on offence, even though they still had to be tough. If your offensive or defensive line isn’t tough enough or if you can’t move quickly, you can’t beat Georgia.”

There aren’t many teams that can do it, but there are some.

The four teams are listed in order of how likely they are to beat the Bulldogs, from most likely to least likely.
