5 offensive topics to watch as spring camp in Alabama gets underway

On Monday, Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide football team began spring practice in Tuscaloosa. Over the course of five weeks, Alabama will complete 14 practices and will conclude the spring activities with the annual A-Day Game on Saturday, April 22.

Coach Saban has a lot of new faces on the roster, but a ton of new coaches will also be making their Alabama debuts in 2023.

The top storylines on each side of the ball include the offense, with Tommy Rees taking over the play-calling duties, the wide receivers returning veteran players, and the wild card of JUCO transfer Malik Benson.

It will be interesting to see how Alabama lines those guys up this spring.

The Alabama running back rotation for 2023 is expected to include Jase McClellan, Roydell Williams, Jam Miller, and true freshmen Justice Haynes.

The running back competition could heat up this spring, and the offensive line has not lived up to the standard over the past couple of seasons.

The starting five will look like Elijah Pritchett (LT), Darrian Dalcourt (LG), Seth McClaughlin (C), Tyler Booker (RG), and JC Latham (RT). Kadyn Proctor could make a move into the starting five, and the quarterback competition will take center stage.
