Alabama’s 2022 season wasn’t as good as usual for the Crimson Tide, but that’s only because the team didn’t get to play for the national title. But only dropping two games and beating the conference winner in the Sugar Bowl is reason to celebrate for almost every other team in the country.
The Crimson Tide will try to come back in 2023. The goal is to play in the national championship game, but getting to the College Football Playoff is not easy.
Even though they lost key players like Bryce Young, Will Anderson Jr., Jahmyr Gibbs, and others, Alabama is expected to be a serious candidate for the national title.
Patrick Conn of College Sports Wire recently released a list of high-profile programmes that he thinks you should either “buy” or “sell” when it comes to calling them title contenders in 2023. Conn says, “Buy, Buy, Buy.”
There are still a few months left of the downtime, which works to Nick Saban’s benefit. Multiple positional groups are going through big changes. Most importantly, there is likely to be a quarterback fight between Milroe and Simpson.
