For a song to back Instagram reels or TikTok clips that chronicle proposals, look no further than Billy Ray Cyrus and his fiancee Firerose's new release "Plans."
Its simple and sweet premise —if you've got plans, include me in them for the rest of our lives together— was written by Diane Warren.
The songwriter's among the greatest love song lyricists of the past 40 years, considering she wrote Toni Braxton's "Unbreak My Heart" and Celine Dion's "Because You Love Me," to name two.
"Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose have made a beautiful record that I have a feeling we will be hearing at weddings for years to come," Warren shared in a press release.
Its imaginative music video shows Firerose meeting Cyrus in a meadow before they are fittingly transported to a wedding venue— complete with suitable outfit changes.
News of Cyrus and Firerose's engagement broke last November.
The two confirmed they were dating in September after being seen on one another's social media accounts and collaborating on a song in 2021.
Engagement rumors then began to circulate after Firerose was seen sporting a diamond ring in photos.
Now, Cyrus is opening up about how they met and how their burgeoning friendship turned into a relationship.
Cyrus explained in Nov. 2022 that the couple met 12 years prior on the set of Hannah Montana, the Disney show that turned his daughter, Miley, into a star.
He was taking a break from shooting one day with his dog, Tex, when he first saw her.
"There's a couple old pine trees on the lot that look like Tennessee," he shares.
"Tex and I would go out there in the middle of the day and he'd take care of his business and we'd stretch and I'd think how much I missed Tennessee.
On that given day, Firerose came out of the front door. There was almost a moment of, I don't know, recognition. I was like, 'This girl's a star.'"
