First-round NFL mock draft: Four QBs in the top 10

The draft picture is becoming clearer now that we're in bowl season, and the NFL season is in its final stretch.

Here's a look at our projected 2023 NFL mock draft as of mid-January 2022.

1. Chicago Bears: Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia With Justin Fields establishing himself this season, Chicago can fill their other many areas of need with the first pick or trade back.

2. Houston Texans: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama Nothing could go right for Houston this season, including squandering the No. 1 pick with a win in Week 18.

3 . Houston Texans: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama Nothing could go right for Houston this season, including squandering the No. 1 pick with a win in Week 18.

4 . Arizona Cardinals: Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia Arizona could blow up the roster in the offseason with Kyler Murray possibly unable to start 2023 healthy, so many positions are in play.

5. Indianapolis Colts: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky Levis had accuracy interception issues in college, but he also didn't have the level of talent around him as the other first-round quarterback prospects.

6 . Seattle Seahawks (via Broncos): Will Anderson, DE, Alabama Seattle could look at a quarterback, but Geno Smith has likely played well enough to keep the job.

7 . Detroit Lions (via Rams): Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson The Lions addressed the defensive line in the 2022 draft, but they clearly need help on the interior.

8 . Las Vegas Raiders: Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern The Raiders' offensive line has been a weakness for much of the year, particularly in pass blocking.

9 . Atlanta Falcons: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State Atlanta is giving rookie Desmond Ridder a try at quarterback, but he saw mixed results.

10  Carolina Panthers: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida Richardson will need time, but there isn't a more physically gifted quarterback in the draft class.
