Former NFL receiver has high praise for Jaxon Smith-Njigba

There have been varying opinions about Jaxon Smith-Njigba since a nagging hamstring injury kept him out of most of the 2022 season.

Some questioned his toughness, some questioned his love for the game, and yet others respected the decision to sit out. It always amazes me how many medical experts there are on social media.

Coming into the season, JSN was seen as a Heisman frontrunner and many thought he could be a top-five pick in the NFL draft.

After the injury, we’ve heard top-10 pick all the way to him dropping to the third round.

 Some believe it’s because he doesn’t have top-end speed, but let’s be honest,

 there’s a lot more to being an NFL receiver than just a 40 time. Does anyone remember names like Darrius Heyward-Bey or John Ross? Not for their NFL careers.

Now a former NFL star receiver is coming to Smith-Njigba’s defense.

Steve Smith who played the majority of his career with the Carolina Panthers and was one of the best in his time in the league gave the former Buckeye receiver high praise on Twitter
