Houston Texans' Deshaun Watson violation costs them draft pick

It's been nearly a year since the Houston Texans dealt Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson to the Cleveland Browns,

but the organization just received a notable penalty for a violation that occurred during his time in the Bayou City.

The NFL announced Wednesday that the Texans will forfeit their 2023 fifth-round pick in addition to paying a $175,000 fine for a salary cap reporting violation that occurred in 2020.

The release from the league indicated that Houston provided Watson "with undisclosed compensation in the form of a membership at an alternative athletic facility.

Texans fans likely hope this is the final chapter of the Deshaun Watson saga in Houston,

outside of future return trips to NRG Stadium.

Watson was accused of sexual misconduct in civil lawsuits from two dozen women before being traded from the Texans,
