Notre Dame football Key things Marcus Freeman said ahead of Navy game

Notre Dame’s 2023 football team will start the regular season with quite the week.

On Monday they had their regular to-do and the same can be said for Tuesday.

However, instead of simply flying to a game location like they usually do on Friday,

they’re heading to Dublin for Saturday’s opener against Navy on Wednesday night.

Marcus Freeman had his weekly media session on Monday ,

and spoke about the travel plans and much more ahead of the much-anticipated season-opener.  Here are a few of his key comments from Monday.

Detailing Travel Plans for Dublin Tomorrow (Tuesday) will really be a Thursday practice in our minds in terms of how long we’ll be out there

. And then Wednesday will be a normal Wednesday practice and the thought is to truly get after it Wednesday.

I want them pretty tired as we get on this flight Wednesday night to fly over to Dublin.

On Navy's New Staff I’m looking forward to get a chance to meet Coach Newberry. He’s done a heck of a job as a defensive coordinator for Navy, really respect what he’s done.

They’ve been really good on defense, and now it’s his transition to being a head coach. I’m sure they take after the head coach.

Injury Updates - Zeke Correll (OL) He’s been progressing really well. He’ll practice today, and we expect him to be able to go.

He’s progressing really well and we want to see him go out there and practice today. We kind of held him out last week.
