Notre Dame's Ryan Bischel makes Richter Award Watch List

One of Notre Dame’s strong points this season has been at goaltender.

Ryan Bischel is the clear standout, and those who follow college hockey for a living seem to agree.

Bischel has been named to the watch list for the Mike Richter Award,

The award hasn’t even been around for a decade, but the Irish already boast a winner in Cale Morris,

Bischel leads all collegiate goaltenders in shutouts with four, and that’s only the beginning.

He has the second-most saves in the country with 673, and he has a 2.70 goals against average and a

We don’t know what more Bischel can offer this season, but it’s unlikely that he’s finished proving himself.
