A.J. McCarron is perhaps the most successful quarterback in Alabama football history.
The Mobile native led the Crimson Tide to back-to-back BCS national championships in 2011 and 2012 and is Alabama’s all-time leader in passing yards with 9,019.
McCarron would then go on to spend several seasons in the NFL, even getting a playoff start for the Cincinnati Bengals.
After that McCarron could never really find a home in the NFL after bouncing around from the Bills, Raiders, Texans, and Falcons.
Now the Alabama legend has found a new home with the XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks.
The XFL kicked things off this past weekend and McCarron and the Battlehawks took the field on Sunday and gave fans a game to remember.
With under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter,
the Battlehawks trailed the San Antonio Brahmas 15-3 before McCarron rallied the troops and led a comeback for the ages.
