Kane Brown decided to give the reality program a go after watching his buddy Lauren Alaina’s success on Idol.
According to him, they turned him down because “they didn’t need another Scotty McCreery,” according to Billboard. After winning a slot on The X Factor, he left when they asked him to join a band.
